(DUSHORE, PA February 22, 2008) The Child Alert Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit charity that assists law enforcement in issuing "Amber Alerts" with our copyrighted Abduction Central Alert (ACA) community notification system. It is this ACA system that is the application engine used by many police and sheriff departments across the nation to issue an 'Amber Alert' for a missing and/or abducted child to an immediate 100-mile radius in a matter of seconds/minutes of being issued.
One of the benefits of the ACA system is it's capability to prequalify an alert before agencies are notified so that each 'Amber Alert' is verified prior to being activated. This same prequalification process has now been expanded in support of missing senior citizens and adheres to legislation being proposed for a new 'Silver Alert' notification status. A Silver Alert can now be activated using the ACA system for adults aged 65 or older who may have cognitive impairments resulting from Alzheimer's or other diseases.
The Child Alert Foundation has long been an advocate for helping missing individuals regardless of age and is proud to be the first organization to provide an Alert Notification System (ANS) that will prequalify and automate the Silver Alert process. Should there ever be a need to alert your community of a missing senior, make sure that your local law enforcement agency has the Abduction Central Alert (ACA) system available.
